Thank you for your interest in joining LTPA. Registration is a simple two step process that begins below. At the end, you can pick your type of membership: (1) One Year Professional Membership - $149 OR (2) One Year Student Membership - FREE. A description of each membership and it's benefits is available on the next page.

If you choose the One Year Professional membership, you can pay by credit card over a secure internet connection. If you want to pay by check, please download the application and send the completed application and check to LTPA headquarters.

Information for: CTEC : California Tax Preparers, please enter your California Tax Education Council (CTEC) number here.  If you do not have a CTEC number you will need to go to www.ctec.org  and find out how to obtain a CTEC registration number.  If you don't remember your CTEC number, please go to www.ctec.org and click on preparer services, you will be required to enter the last six digits of your social security number in order to retrieve your CTEC number.
Information for: PTIN : Please enter your Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) here, if you do not have a PTIN, or don't remember your PTIN, please go to www.irs.gov and click on e services. You can enter your PTIN on your member profile at a later time.
