We had a meeting with the IRS this morning and we are sending you an update on the latest information on the new registered tax return preparer initiative. The IRS has registered over 675,000 tax practitioners to date. They estimate there are 50,000 to 200,000 more practitioners to register. The question arises, why haven't more tax preparers registered when the IRS estimated there were 800,000 to 1.2 million tax preparers?

I would like to share what impressed us the most. Senator Bob Kerrey spoke about the IRS being both law enforcement as well as a social services agency.
